I’m building a Nieuport 11, the article (it was a free plan with a magazine) says they used ‘furry hinges’ does anyone know what these are, or would strong paper or laminated plastic bag round a bit of wire do the same job?

I’m just joining together my GWS E-starter air plane modell. The next step is to cut the elevator, rudder and aileron from the wings. After that I’ve to join these things with ‘hinge’, but I don’t know how it looks like. I think it should be a 20mm X 10mm slight thing but there isn’t anything looking like that. What do you think, is it good expedient if I cut a 20mm X 10mm paper and glue it and I use the paper as hinge. Won’t the elevator, rudder and aileron break away during flying?

No, definitely don’t use paper. It bends and wears down easily and will tear over time. You can buy little plastic hinges at any model store, but they should be provided with your model.
